Churches Together in Teddington Joint Witness on Good Friday Friday 2 April 2010

Each year, Churches Together in Teddington organises joint activities of Christian witness for Good Friday. First, Processions of Witness converge on the green opposite Teddington Memorial Hospital. At the green, a joint Service of Witness is held at the foot of the cross from 10.30 am. Then this service is followed by a Vigil by the Cross on the green until 3 pm. Representatives from each member church maintain a vigil in half-hour sections from 11 am until 3 pm. Photo of the 2003 Service | See map using postcode

Churches Together in Teddington Chestnut Sunday Picnic Sunday 9 May 2010

The CTT picnic was not held in 2009 but there was still the usual Chestnut Sunday Parade which will began at 12.30pm The CTT picnic is usually held each year in Bushy Park as part of the traditional Teddington Chestnut Sunday celebrations beginning at mid-day on the 2nd Sunday in May. We usually meet on the left hand side of the road running from the Teddington Gate to the Diana Fountain, opposite the road which leads to the Woodland Gardens car park from about 12 noon (or as soon thereafter as church services allow). See map showing rendezvous The main road and car parks are usually closed to traffic for a long time before and after the Chestnut Sunday Parade so people usually walk or cycle into the park for the picnic. Bring your own food and drink.

	Churches Together in Teddington Christian Aid Week 9-15 May 2010
Each year, Churches Together in Teddington organises Christian Aid door-to-door collections in Teddington and Hampton Wick. There are organisers in each church who are co-ordinated by the Area Organiser (Colin Hicks).

The graph above gives totals for a series of years.
The final (audited) total for the 2010 collection was
£8092-78 plus £1125-81 tax reclaim.
The interim total for 2010 is about 9% up on 2009 but 2010 like 2009 is significantly down on 2008.
A like for like comparison of roads in which collections were made in both 2008 and 2009
showed this is a general reduction in the level of giving and not due to fewer roads being covered.

Each year there is a Christmas Day lunch for those who would otherwise eat alone. It is held in Elleray Hall, Elleray Road, Teddington TW11 0HG. See map using postcode

	Churches Together in Teddington Council Meetings
The Council of Churches Together in Teddington meets about 4 times a year. It is attended by representatives from each member church. 2010 Council Meetings 19 January, 18 May, 14 September (AGM), and 9 or 16 November (possibles)
