Sunday ServicesWe are now running in-person and live streamed Sunday morning (10.30am) and evening (6.30pm) services. The live streaming will be on our YouTube channel. Part of the government guidance requires us to keep a 'Track & Trace' register. If you plan to attend a morning service in-person please sign-up in advance via an emailed invitation, My ChurchSuite or the Church diary. To sign-up via the Church diary click on the service and it will guide through the sign-up. For evening services we will make a list of all those attending for our 'Track & Trace' register.
Government's Roadmap out of Lockdown
See: Government's Roadmap
The government's roadmap (page 34) says that community centres will be able to open again in Step 2 i.e. from 12 April 2021 at the earliest. This has now been confirmed. It goes on to say (page 34) that in Step 2 "All children will be able to attend any indoor children's activity, including sport, regardless of circumstance. Parent and child groups of up to 15 people (not counting children aged under five years old) can restart indoors." Such children's activities will still be subject to Covid-19 secure restrictions (cleaning, face masks, social distancing etc). We will have to conform to current government guidance for such measures. We are therefore re-opening our premises for mid-week children's activities from 12 April 2021.
The roadmap also says (page 37) that in Step 3 mid-week activities for adults will be allowed to resume. This has been confirmed so we can take bookings for adult activiites with effect from 17 May.
LettingsLettings of our rooms have resumed for children's and adult groups from 12 April and 17 May respectively but remain subject to government restrictions (e.g. on social distancing, waering of masks etc). The capacity of each our rooms is less than before Covid-19 restrictions and depends both on the type of activity and the appropriate social distancing etc measures which need to be in place. Please ask the church office (by email) about bookings and room capacities. Those wanting to hire our rooms for community activities should see our Room Hire section noting the new requirement for a Covid-19 undertaking from those hiring our rooms.
To support the re-opening of our buildings we have prepared a Covid-19 Risk Assessment.
On 31 July 2020, the government announced that the wearing of face coverings would be made mandatory in places of worship and community centres with effect from Saturday 8 August 2020 except for (a) staff; and (b) young children and those with respiratory conditions as in all cases where face coverings are otherwise expected. These face covering rules for our premises are now the same as for shops and other public indoor spaces. Please bring your own face covering, where possible, when attending services or other activities on the church premises. (We will have some supplies available for those who forget them.)
Track and Trace
As noted above, we have to keep a "Track and Trace" register of all people entering the church building both for Sunday services and other church activities.
On 6 July 2020, we updated our Privacy Notices to reflect the possibility that personal information may be released to NHS Test and Trace.
Those using our rooms must keep their own "Track and Trace" register covering everyone attending (including staff and clients).
