About the authors
Cathy Mearman: started writing poetry in 1997. She finds it a relaxing and enjoyable pastime; she has over 100 poems published by Forward Press and a few by the International Library of Poetry. Cathy lives in South-West London with her husband and two sons.
Gordon Lewis: brought up on the Isle of Wight, has written his early memoirs "Spots of Time" (1932-1952), and several magazine articles. Much spare time is now spent writing poetry which he believes must communicate without being overly obscure.
Alice Lewis: was a London evacuee in 1939. As a housewife she lived in Germany and Singapore, four years in each location; later she entered the Civil Service at the Sandhurst Military Academy. As a Christian she broadcast daily thought on IOW Radio over set periods during 1998-2000.
Stephen Lewis: is not sure if his contributions can be called poems. he wrote them at work where he says "my thoughts meandered away from electronics, they represent pebbles marking moments along a path. I lay them down at your feet, please walk gently over them."
