Our next
Baptismal Service

will be on

Sunday 30 November 2008
at 10.30 am

at Teddington Baptist Church (map)

Click to Watch a Baptism! online.

It may sound odd but....
at our Baptismal Services
a Baptist gets wet all over!

We don't christen children.
We baptise adults by total immersion.

This takes place in baptismal pool at the front of our church. The baptismal pool is like a small swimming pool and is usually hidden under the platform at the front of the church. For a Baptismal Service, it is opened up and filled with water. The person to be baptised is dipped under the surface of the water by one of our leaders - usually by the Minister.

So if you want to see a Baptist get wet all over
- and hear the person explain why -
come to one of our Baptismal services!

We begin each Café with a meal and then there is an "entertainment"
usually by a visiting speaker or performer.
These Cafés have included everything from escapologists to photographers,
from comedians to actresses.

Every Café is different, each one has someone to amuse or entertain
- as well as to challenge those present to think about the direction of their lives.

Home Page Wednesday Night is Church Night!

  • Church Nights - there will be many opportunities to meet together in Homegroups to enable us to get to know one another better as we study God's word and pray together.

  • On the First Wednesdays of each month, we PRAY for many different needs, using different media - no two are the same.

  • Church Meetings will be held usually on the third Wednesdays in January, March, May, July, September and November at 7.45 pm so we can PLAN our life together under the guidance of God. These meetings provide space to reflect on the life and work of our church. Nearer the time, please PRAY for the items on the agenda.

April-July 2008 Sunday Mornings
Bless You!

The Christian life has many challenges and trials as God moulds us into the image of Christ. However, the way is also strewn with the kind of blessings that make it all worthwhile...

September-November 2008 Sunday Mornings
Why do Christians?.......

We are an open church - open to God, open to the work of His Spirit, and open to the community too. We don't have religious secrets...but we do have mysteries. Who do Christians do some of the things they do? Whether you, and have forgotten ... or never knew at all, this series is for you.

April-July 2008 Sunday Evenings
On the road with Paul

The Christian life is suffused with the motif of the journey through and through. We start our journey in faith, continue it with the Spirit, and end it in hope. As we travel with Paul, encountering danger, blessing and obstacles in equal measure, we pick up many tips for our journey. The series will take us as far as Corinth and is to be continued later in 2008.

September-November 2008 Sunday Evenings
Walking Backwards to Christmas

A line for a Goon Show of old might not seem like the most auspicious title for a series of sermons. However, we can only really appreciate Christmas when we appreciate all that follows on from it. This jounrey through Mark's Gospel will lead us back to the beginning just in time for Christmas. Look out for four special evenings too.

Details of each week's sermon titles and Bible readings
can be found in the online Church Diary
