It may sound odd but....
at our Baptismal Services
a Baptist gets wet all over!

We don't christen children.
We baptise adults by total immersion.

This takes place in baptismal pool at the front of our church. The baptismal pool is like a small swimming pool and is usually hidden under the platform at the front of the church. For a Baptismal Service, it is opened up and filled with water. The person to be baptised is dipped under the surface of the water by one of our leaders - usually by the Minister.

So if you want to see a Baptist get wet all over
- and hear the person explain why -
come to one of our Baptismal services!

Home Page Wednesday Night is Church Night!

  • Church Nights - there will be many opportunities to meet together in Homegroups to enable us to get to know one another better as we study God's word and pray together. We sometimes meet at the Church Centre.

  • Church Meetings will be held usually on the third Wednesdays in January, March, May, July, September and November at 7.45 pm so we can PLAN our life together under the guidance of God. These meetings provide space to reflect on the life and work of our church. Nearer the time, please PRAY for the items on the agenda.
January - April 2012 Wednesday Evenings
The Disciple's Way
On many of the Wednesday evenings in this first quarter, we shall meet together down at church, as we embark on "The Disciple's Way". Come along on January 11 to see Martin Sheen's moving film "The Way" by way of an introduction. Each of these six evenings will include testimony, worship, teaching, discussion and practical applications.

January - February 2012 Sunday Mornings
Faith and folly in the life of Abraham
Abraham is acknowledged as an example of faith in three major word religions. However, his is a story of faith and folly, promise and doubt. As we focus this year on being disciples or learners, we shall consider some episodes from Abraham's life.
February - April 2012 Sunday Mornings
Lent: Preparing for Easter
Traditionally Lent has been a time for Christians to prepare heart, soul, mind and body for the celebration of Easter. On the five Sunday mornings of Lent we shall reflect on some classic Christian disciplines.
January - April 2012 Sunday Evenings
Not waiting but winning: 2 Thessalonians
Writing for a second time to his friends in Thessalonica, Paul reminds them that they have been chosen. Times will get worse before they get better, he says, but the key is to endure.

There are also special services which may mean the themes above are not followed at every service in the relevant period. Details of each week's sermon titles and Bible readings can be found in the online Church Diary
