Lifeshapes

This year, 2014, we are focusing on discipleship using three simple Lifeshapes tools - the Circle, Triangle and Square.

Lifeshapes Circle The Circle is a reminder to make the most of those 'God-moments' when we are aware of God's intervention in our lives. They may be great or small, good or bad - but the important thing is to reflect on them. The Circle encourages us to ask two questions whenever a 'God-moment' comes along:

  • What is God saying?
  • What am I going to do about it?

Lifeshapes Triangle The Triangle is a reminder of the importance of maintaining balance in our Christian lives. It encourages us to measure our progress in different dimensions: up, in and out.

  • UP denotes our relationship with God;
  • IN our relationship with the church; and
  • OUT our relationship with the world.

The triangle encourages us to look for small, incremental, steps in all these dimensions.

Lifeshapes Square The Square is a reminder about the careful steps it takes to pass on responsibilities within the church and to ensure that everyone grows as a result. The four sides represent four stages in this process:

  • I do - you watch
  • I do - you help
  • You do - I help
  • You do - I watch
