Friday's Big Top was exciting as the points started hotting up.
The week's winners were the Jolly Jugglers!
They were not that far ahead of the Terrific Trapeze Artists in second place and the Sensitive Strong Men in third place!

BIG Top Round Up
The points' man Tom Collett got gunged for not adding up some of the points correctly, and giving some teams an advantage!
Another unlucky soul ran the gauntlet for 7 seconds, and came out looking much more gunged than the 8 second run from Thursday!
He even had streamers stuck to his shirt, and other bits of goo hanging from his face.
Unluckily, Richard Colpus didn't get gunged, and many people were disappointed so here is a picture of what he would have looked like if he had been well gunged!

Richard Colpus well gunged? |
The video finished, and the boys discovered that they hadn't been in a time machine, but a consequence generator.
What they thought they had seen in the future was a possible consequence of them entering the machine without permission.
They came out of the machine, and Professor Whitaker told them about it not being a time machine.
They were relieved to be back, and gladly mopped the floor as a punishment - happy not to be living in the horrid future they had seen.
Schools' Worker
A man called Andy, the local schools' Christian Youth Worker, came to speak.
He talked about how things are not always what they seem on the outside, and that God sees things as they are on the inside.
To demonstrate this, he played the Generation Game!?!?!
(You had to be there to understand!)
Later he showed a clip from the Prince of Egypt, where Moses encounters the burning bush, as Friday's Bible story.
Esther Warren and River Deep
The Rock Café came to a rousing finish with the live performance by Esther Warren and River Deep.
They were so good that some passing teenagers came in off the street and stayed to listen and enjoy.
River Deep spoke about their love of Jesus and stirred a response both to their words and to their music.
A totally brill time was had by all!
The Marquee
Richard Littledale demonstrated his artistic talents by painting a masterpiece before our very eyes
- well he claimed it was a masterpiece because it was a copy of a painting that is his grandparents' most treasured possession
(an original by Richard Littledale age 4).
Many thanks for all the Toys for Rumania which have been brought along already.
Bring as many as possible with you on Sunday!

What was the week like?
This week has been a good one.
Most people who have come have gone away happy, excited, and having had a good time.
They have also gone away each day with a worksheet, a newsletter, and an item of craft.
|
|
The leaders were friendly this week, and have worked hard in preparation, by cutting out the craft for each day, and preparing the group boxes and banners. Many thanks should go to all the leaders and helpers who have given up every morning this week to help run the Big Top as successfully as it has been.
