What was today's BIG Top like?
The BIG Top on Thursday was just as good and maybe better than the day before.
A new presenter joined Richard and Luke onstage - Claire Langley.
The audience soon surprised her when she forgot her hat onstage!
The children were certainly on the ball, as they sometimes started chanting "HAT! HAT! HAT!" when the presenters were just taking a seat on the stage between items!

Tom Collett and The BIG Top wheel
|
The drama took a very predictable twist as The Hooded Man was unmasked and discovered to be Winston, Great Uncle Waldo's long-lost brother.
They made up and the show went on, with Winston performing with the rest of the trapeze team WITH a safety net!
Bert and Lucy were back, however, Lucy was a bit upset today, as everything had been going wrong for her.
Bert soon cheered her up though and they went off to have some chocolate.
There were a few strange things on the puppet stage as Bert and Lucy danced to the theme music.
Did anyone else notice them or was I seeing things?
BIG Top Group News
The points were certainly flying today, with standard lots of 300 being awarded for answering questions or sitting down quickly.
I lost track of who was winning, as the overall scores were announced first, and then the day's winners.
Today decided the overall winners, so congratulations, you know who you are!
BIG Top Round Up
Yesterday's unlucky gunger was in for 8 seconds, yet came out looking as though he had only been in for 1!
What were the gunge team thinking of?
Everybody wanted Richard to be put through the Gauntlet, and some of the other leaders too.
Let them have a taste of their own medicine!!
The video continued and the two boys found themselves talking to Professor Whitaker, before he had died.
Actually he was on a video, and he told them he was very sorry for what had happened to them.
They tried to get back to the ice-cream parlour, but the policeman had different ideas.
Thanks for coming to The Big Top all this week.
Hope you've enjoyed the week, and will come back next year if it is run again!!
The Marquee
One of our American visitors, Tammy, decorated a cake to an appreciative audience (especially when they got to eat it afterwards).
Roses, leaves, ribbons, and a cross appeared on the cake with a flick of the wrist and a squeeze of the bag.
Her friend, Lisa, helped her and told us how Tammy now iced cakes for all sorts of occasions in their home city of Portsmouth, Virginia.
Many thanks from The Marquee for all the Toys for Rumania which have been brought along already.
Keep them coming! You can bring them along with you on Sunday.
