At the TCG public meeting on 30 Jan 2008 at Teddington Baptist Church, the Council decided to implement the immediate safety measures around Collis School but also decided that there should be a fresh public consultation on the other measures.

The CPZ is now being implemented. It wil be reviewed after three months.

The Environment and Sustainability Overview & Scrutiny Committee held on Tuesday 26 February 2008 decided to allow the proposed CPZ to proceed.

Cllr David Trigg (Richmond Council's Cabinet Member for Traffic, Transport and Parking) made a decision on 5 February 2008 to proceed with a CPZ in Teddington. The decision was called-in for examination by the Environment and Sustainability Overview & Scrutiny Committee which held its meeting in public at 7pm on Tueday 26 February 2008 at Teddington Baptist Church. Any member of the public wishing to speak at that meeting had to give notice to the Council by 2pm on Monday 25 February (Council contact - Alastair Round, 020 8891 7813; Email: scrutiny@richmond.gov.uk). There was a public meeting on 30 Jan 2008 of the Transport Consultative Group at Teddington Baptist Church. Click here for documents. The Council will announce a decision on the proposed Teddington CPZ within 7 days of that meeting.

A second phase of consultations on the establishment of Controlled Parking Zones (CPZs) in Teddington has taken place. The Council has now decided not to proceed with the Teddington CPZ.

In December 2002, the Parking Sub-Committee of the Teddington Study Residents Working Party issued a Report. The same month this Report was circulated by the Roads and Transport Group of the Teddington Society for comment under cover of a letter from Brian Holder (Chairman).

These remain important background documents to the ongoing discussions about the possibility of Controlled Parking Zones (CPZs) being established in Teddington.
