Editorial Policy or Why? Wot?

Wot? Coverage: Wot? tries to provide a listing of services of general interest to people living in Teddington, Hampton Wick, Hampton Hill, and Hampton. You can submit topics and information for inclusion by e-mail (see details below) and the Editor will consider them against the Editorial policy set out below.

Wot? cannot maintain full listings of events and so wherever possible, Wot? will provide a link to a site maintained by someone else - this extends our coverage. If you have a suitable site to which we could link, please submit details.

Wot? Comments: We welcome constructive suggestions on any aspect of this site. If we have got any information wrong, please tell us (you can use e-mail) and we will correct it as soon as possible.

The Editor is Colin Hicks and his decision on what is to be included is final. While he will include as much information as possible, he will not include services or information which might be seen as counter to the general ethos and mission of Teddington Baptist Church.

Wot? Geographical Coverage: As noted above, Wot? is aimed at serving people living in Teddington, Hampton Wick, Hampton Hill, and Hampton. If a service is available in Teddington (etc) it will be listed in preference to similar services elsewhere. However, for example, there are no commercial cinemas in that area so the cinemas listed are those Teddington (etc) people are most likely to travel to i.e. in Richmond, Kingston, Feltham, and Esher. Similarly, because the local Council is the Borough of Richmond, preference is given to services offered by that Council.

Why? Wot?: Teddington Baptist Church has been serving the community in Teddington for over 100 years. We are always trying to develop new ways of serving people. The Church has been online since June 1996 with its own web site and we thought that Wot? would help us serve today's world in a totally new way. Wot? was launch in September 1997.
