Great Bible Stories

In May and June 2009, a set of pictures illustrating Great Bible Stories were created by students from Stanley Infant School, Teddington and young people from the children and youth groups at Teddington Baptist Church. They were all large wall panels roughly 3m x 1m and were mounted around the gallery in the Main Hall of Teddington Baptist Church (see photos above). Joseph and his Coat

Long before Lea Mead, or even Andrew Lloyd-Weber himself, were thought of, a young man called Joseph had a coat full of colours and a head full of dreams. They were not always popular though, and his angry brothers saw a new use for an old well.

Daniel and the Lions

Poor Daniel ... he'd made an enemy of the King by praying to God, and now he was in big trouble.

The Big Picnic

5000 people all came to listen to Jesus tell his stories. When lunchtime came around, no-one had enough lunch for everyone!

Jesus Walking on Water

With steep hills all around, it didn't take long for a storm to brew on the Sea of Galilee. With the little boat pitching and tossing on the waves, no-one could quite believe it when they saw Jesus walking out on the water towards them.

Puzzles and Parables

Very often Jesus would teach people through stories, or parables, rather than just 'giving it to them straight'. Lost sheep, robbers on the road and even seeds in the soil helped to make the point.Created by: members of Which Way Now?, Teddington Baptist Church

The Touch of Faith

Everybody wanted to see Jesus - he was the talk of the town. As he passed by, the crowd began to scream and shout as if he were a rock star.

But one woman in the crowd, who had been ill for years, knew that she just had to touch his cloak. Would that be enough to heal her?
